You can offer coaching and mentoring to your team members by setting clear and realistic goals, creating action plans, monitoring progress, and celebrating success. You can also connect your team members with other coaches or mentors within or outside the organization, who can offer them different perspectives and insights.
Learning and development are crucial for growth, as they help your team members to acquire new skills, knowledge, and competencies. You can encourage learning and development by providing your team members with opportunities and resources to learn and grow. For example, you can assign them challenging projects or tasks, enroll them in training programs or courses, recommend them books or articles, or invite them to webinars or workshops. You can also create a learning culture in your team by promoting curiosity, collaboration, and feedback.

"Encouraging" it is not enough. The leader has to create an environment where learning is normalised and part of business as usual. It's all well and good to give a team member a resource, but you must also create the time and safe space to consume it. So their workload must be reprioritised. And they should feel like they are not being judged by the rest of the team as it may be perceived as not getting work done.
Recognition and reward are important for growth, as they help your team members to feel valued, appreciated, and motivated. You can recognize and reward growth by acknowledging your team members' efforts, achievements, and improvements. You can do this verbally, in writing, or publicly, depending on the situation and the preference of the team member. You can also reward growth by offering incentives, bonuses, promotions, or other benefits that align with your team members' goals and needs.
