Whatever you study, it sharps when you started doing it your skills grows time by time as you gained experience in landscape architecture I have divided landscape architecture in 3 parts for my focusing area 1. Designing skills 2. Horticulture skills 3. Engeenering ( irrigation & construction) A. You can learn Designing skills By following Architecture bodies like IFLA , BALI etc. B. For Horticulture you can download e books follow gardening websites , newsletters, garden care & tips pages C. A Landscape Architecture professor taught us that ideas are rarely original. Our ideas and designs are a conglomeration of our memories, experiences and of course things we’ve seen that are appealing to our tastes. The more we explore the realm of our surroundings the more potential we have to use combinations of ideas to create great things. No one ever truly stops learning & our desire to learn more can only benefit us.

One of the ways we can grow our landscape architecture skills online is by joining and participating in online communities that are related to our field. In my opinion one of the benefits of online communities are: we can expand your network and build relationships with people who share our passion, interests, and goals and showcase our portfolio and demonstrate our skills and expertise to a wider audience. Also we can access a wealth of information and resources that can help us grow our knowledge and skills.

An other way to grow our landscape architecture skills online is by listening to podcasts that cover topics related to the field. There are many podcasts that focus on landscape architecture and related topics, such as: The Landscape Architecture Podcast, Dig Beneath Design and The Green Urbanist Podcast.

I've always found that hands-on approaches tend to be the best in growing one's expertise. One of the best applications of such approaches are online tools and software, I found Google sketch up to be one of the best tools given its ease of use and simple friendly interface. Combined with lumion's rendering capabilities, you can produce high quality work with minimal effort which allows you to experience various styles, methodologies and get feedback from peers and professionals easily and more frequently while growing your portfolio and seeing your progress first-hand over time.
