Choose simple ground[no invitation for sophisticated places] where u can get your hands dirty right away, speak with simple language,while walking in between the rows,or contacting them by eyes,questions.get ur part of contribution of the purpose of the speech ready to represent even in draft form(say, i hv though about that, i hv made an effort that of course needs improvement,& wanted to share,…) That will stimulate audience to analyze further(they constructively criticize, & say well i could do better in that way)reflection will start immediately, people will start feeling and imagining that they are part of the deal without even calling for consensus.Assign a really close date for first easy task result of which can be felt immediately

The key to ace a speech is preparation. We are often advised to speak our hearts to the audience. The most important thing to remember here is to do that prior, and not right at the spot as you can become clueless on what information to share first and what to share last. If you're about to deliver a speech, research your audience well, plan ahead, and prepare with relevant examples, and analogies to make your speech more effective.
Two key tips to remember when structuring the speech - people remember the beginning and ending of a speech the most. Start with an appealing introduction that captures attention, and ensure that your closing recaps the main points discussed. Second, limit the number of points discussed - I like to use the rule of 3. This helps with engagement as well as retention.
The speech is a story that you will tell. Stories can be narrated in many ways - start to end - pre-climax .. cut to start .. approach pre-final and continue - end to start - parallel stories ... Choose your style carefully and focus on delivering a story telling experience like never before.
Make sure the narrative flows well and that your transitions are laid out properly and rehearsed sufficiently. You can easily lose momentum if the flow is not properly structured from the get go. Then, it’s about repetition repetition repetition.
A commonality I have come across as an active listener, is when Leaders commence their speech with a strong and engaging introduction that grabs the attention of their audience. The body of their speech is very clear, concise, and focused on the key message which roots from one of their life changing stories. Most of the Leaders are great storytellers, some I have enjoyed listening to also carried a humour quotient which often resonates very strongly with every listener out there. Because we all have those awkward, embarrassing moments which can also serve as good content to leave a lasting impression.

Visual storytelling is a powerful tool that captivates your audience and makes your message more memorable. Incorporating images, videos, and infographics into your story can create a more immersive experience for your listeners. Also, talking in pictures, using visual terms vs. auditory language.
There are hundreds of stories out there including many of your own (from your life experiences). If you are using a popular story; chances are most people have heard it. I generally recommend that you start-tell-finish the entire popular story in one long sentence and jump straight to the point you are making. Don't bore the audience with the story since all know it. Bring in your fresh interpretation.
No matter how good your content is, if your delivery is poor, you will lose your audience's interest and trust. Therefore, you need to practice and refine your delivery skills to make your speech more impactful. You should pay attention to your voice, body language, eye contact, and gestures, and use them to enhance your message and express your personality. You should also avoid filler words, jargon, and slang, and use simple and clear language that your audience can understand and relate to. You should practice your speech aloud, preferably in front of a mirror, a recorder, or a friend, and get feedback on how you can improve.
Connect with your audience. Narrate a story, and while doing so, make it engaging. Use the stage to walk, and not being stagnant at one particular place. Use hands gesture, body language to make it interesting.

Never highlight your mistakes or errors. Most people won’t even notice. If a mistake happens, simply reframe and keep going!
Another key tip is to be prepared for potential changes. This means having a solid understanding of your material, but also being flexible enough to pivot if necessary. For example, if you're giving a presentation on a new product and someone in the audience asks a question about a related feature, you should be able to seamlessly incorporate that information into your speech.
By not considering it a speech in the first place. Any topic you pick has to be a conversation which seeks to help the audience solve one of their problems.
The greatest way to create impact as a leader when giving a speech is by being genuine and vulnerable with your audience. This doesn't necessarily mean pouring your heart out, but your audience should get a sense of who you are and be able to connect with you on some level. I think this is especially important when delivering messages to internal teams.

It's important to keep the key takeaways in mind while adjusting your message to suit the needs of your audience. One way to combat this is by jotting down a brief outline or bullet points to refer to during your presentation. Another challenge is dealing with unexpected interruptions or questions, which can be distracting and disrupt your train of thought. To avoid this, it's helpful to anticipate potential disruptions and prepare responses ahead of time. This way, you can stay focused on your message and handle any concerns that arise with ease.
As a Leader, the objective of your story telling is to INSPIRE. Don't deliver petty messages. Deliver inspirational message, aligned to a core vision.
