I agree volunteer work help in so many ways, I started volunteering at the local school in my community by creating their first ESL program and translating important documents for the school to have for the parents in their language. Also helping translating forms for a local hospital. I have also volunteered at the church and interpreting at the doctor’s office. All of this volunteer work helped me to get to my actual job as an interpreter.

Finally, your mentor will give you advice on how to apply all that you learned in university.
