For finding new client is to satisfy existing clients as the old client are assets for you and they refer you more new clients. Also regular showcase your work on different platforms like behance and LinkedIn to showcase your ability. My main expertise in graphic design like logo design, banner design, flyer/poster design, brochure design, website design, and all kind of graphics work. My focus always on design and always try to give best design which approved in one go for that I always do research about client industry before starting any work. Also you have to create your website or upload your best work on behance etc sites.

First off, there are a lot of niches even in graphic design. Certainly, as a graphic designer, you are open to work on any design project, but you will realize along the way that you enjoy doing some specific designs better than others. I suggest you better yourself in that field and propagate it more. You always excel at what you love doing most. Lastly, get a strong portfolio that resonates with your capabilities.

The challenge isn't finding more graphic design clients. The challenge is better quality clients, finding you. More is not a value to strive for. Quality is.

This is tricky but key. There are a ton of amazing graphic designers out there. The more you specialize or become known for a particular style or working in a particular sector the easier it is for the crowd to notice you and remember you. The hardest part is separating your strategy of getting seen with what you can do. The trend currently is to have a particular look or strength but once hired be able to be flexible and talented enough execute visuals that elevate a client's brand.

I'm not a big fan of niches – specialising in one narrow sector or industry can be clear in terms of your positioning, but the flip-side is that it can be a little boring! I always bring more to the table from other perspectives, industries from a broader range of clients. That said, if your 'ideal clients' have a broader commonality – purpose-led businesses, mid-sized agencies, one-person start-ups etc – then focussing on those is just good business practise and brings natural variety outside the niche they operate in.

Its easy if you run a print shop (large format or paper),at the most designers in my region are not equipped with exporting for print so we adjust artworks or over to redesign the artworks for great end design and that's how we build our most returning clients. In my experience, there is nothing better than building a network to find new work and clients. This can happen in many ways; there is no right or wrong way. Personally, I've tried in-person networking groups, online groups, and word-of-mouth marketing via my personal network to be the most effective ways to build a network. The strongest links in my network have always been people I have met in person. Once people have met you in the flesh, it is easier to build trust, which is the key to a good network.

as a friend of mine always says, "Under promise and over deliver." that is great advice to live by. Follow up after the project is over and see if there is anything more that can be done. follow up again in a few months to begin discussion on future projects. be open with the client and ask what worked and what did not. Ask direct questions about what can be improved and how can your work service them better, etc. Give them confidence that you have their best interest at heart and actually do.

This is especially important if you are the project lead or the bridge between the agency and the client. Communication with stakeholders is a must. Period. When asking for feedback, my approach (and personal advice to you) is: make it more personal. Reach the project leader on the client’s side via text or phone call (no, you will not be bothering). Do not (just) ask for feedback, but inquire how the project went *for them*. ACTIVELY LISTEN. If you have a standardized form or post-mortem questionnaire, ask if you can send it via e-mail. BONUS TIP: If you are working with a local business, ask if you can go to their location and get a short video testimonial or record the project on-site (make it as frictionless for them as possible).

But it is a parameter that, at least for the last 15 years is the most important one, matters the most: how cheap you can sell your work. Someone was saying "... will leave you for a dollar." Nowadays the clients are biased between paying the least possible and receiving top level quality graphics that we could give them for 1 buck. True is that, whatever will be the quality of your work, will be worth exactly less than the 1 dollar the client will choose to save. Returning clients, new clients, all of them will ask: Could be (the price) lower, at least with 1 dollar? And it is hard to know if they really want to save a buck, or they already have another offer 1 buck cheaper

Set your freelance business up for Success: Admin is the most boring part of being a graphic designer but the most essential to ensure you get paid on time. 1. Structure your business model correctly. 2. Setup your essential docs and include terms and conditions and payment details. Eg 50% upfront 50% on delivery. 3. Hourly rate outside of the initial brief. 4. Client take on doc. Outline your requirements for taking on a client. 5. Most family, friends will expect pro bono work. Find a professional way to let them know that you have covered your social responsibility contribution for a specific month.

Designers: Think about how you can stand out from the crowd. Be bold. Do something awesome. Make them laugh or smile! For example, send out a physical “press kit” of your best work! Print your artwork into a bound book or set of postcards. Consider 3D printing a character or typeface. Standing out from the crowd and doing something different will help potential clients remember you.

Remember that you are a walking billboard for your business. It's not enough to have a solid book, you need to treat your own brand like your biggest client.
