How can you find inspiration for life coaching?

One of the most interesting pieces of advice I've heard for finding your "niche" or reinvigorating your passion for coaching is to start a podcast or blog, where you interview others in your field! Surprising advice, isn't it? However, you get to learn from others, connect to your coaching community, network quicker and even find your own voice as a public speaker (TED talk anyone?) This also gives you the freedom to reach out to individuals you always wanted to connect to, with a purpose. This is of course just one example. However, I hope it inspired you to try something new. :) Good luck!

We all stand on the shoulders of giants and we do not have to reinvent the wheel when it comes to being original. There's people in the industry already serving people who are probably similar to you. You should try to find them. You have interests and specific gifts and passions that make you an interesting person for people who need someone like you to help them on their growth journey. At the start of the coaching journey, this doesn't 'feel' like it's true because many are filled with self doubt, and I struggled with this too at the beginning. The more you allow yourself to be seen by your tribe with your genuine interests and values, people will be magnetised towards working with you. Allow yourself to be seen to be inspired.

One of the best ways is to not limit yourself while picking a niche. Yes, some of the hot keywords related to becoming a "profitable" coach may seem tempting - but allow all kinds of experiences, welcome different challenges brought in by different set of clients and reflect back on your journey. Some questions which could help: - which client got to transformation and how? - what did I do exceptionally for them? - what did I enjoy the most while coaching them? - what does it tell me about myself?

Everyone has a worldview. Take time to be introspective. What has led to success in your life? Is there anything you've learned that is also applicable to others?

Finding inspiration in life coaching begins with exploring your niche—the area where your passion and expertise intersect. ~What areas of life coaching excite you the most? ~Do you have a passion for helping people navigate career transitions or build stronger relationships? ~Maybe you're drawn to working with individuals on personal growth or stress management. Focusing on a niche allows you to delve deeper into a specific area, develop specialized knowledge, and connect with clients who share your interests. When you align your coaching practice with your passions and strengths, you naturally draw inspiration from the work itself.

You are the sum of your network. One of the best things I have done is connect with coaches that are further along the path than I am. You can speak to them and realise that creating a prosperous business is possible. And actually it's that unshakeable belief more than anything else that will help you grow and keep inspired.

Don’t reinvent the wheel. It took me a long time to realise this. I’m still realising it. The knowledge you take for granted, and think is “common sense” is likely to be awareness shifting gold dust to 99.9% of humans. Focus on learning to simply (therefore powerfully) communicate your offering in a way that anyone can understand it. If you think you have magic in a bottle, it’s no good if no one is in the market for magic. Also you probably don’t have magic in a bottle. You don’t need magic in a bottle. You need a clear concise method to take a human from pain to gain. Articulate their pain. Articulate your service. Articulate the gain. No magic needed. Say the same thing 1,000 different ways. You have a message worth sharing.

Have you seen these word like this ever, "Coaches," as Co + aches ?? Some people have your kind of aches, you are not alone, learn from them how they cured the aches, this gives you leverage on how to deal with your aches (pains).

Coach Supervision is a great way of learning & building capacity through reflective dialogue. Observing diverse coaching approaches broadens perspectives, fostering continuous growth within a supportive environment. To seek inspiration as a life coach, one has to keep seeking knowledge and be committed to continuous searching. Inspiring content is everywhere on the Internet. There are social media pages, that are dedicated to posting motivational and inspirational content. There are book review social media pages, find them out and follow these pages.

Coaching is both an art and a craft. The craft is the process by which you as the coach, hold the space for the client. The art is the way in which you learn to instinctively take your lead from the client to inform which tool or framework might work best for them. Pay attention to their body language, their postures, their breathing and the words they use ...in every sense, really 'listen' to your client. An example might be, if your client looks up whilst talking, sits upright, speaks quickly and uses phrases like, I cant see a way through I want to expand my horizons Let me paint the picture for you its likely that your client is predominately a visual person, therefore use materials which tap into their natural way of thinking.

Oh, humans are not a product of mass production, hence, a size fits all will not work. Being creative with the peculiarities and uniqueness of one's client is a good practice.

Life coaching is a very interesting profession. The fact that each client needs a custom solution makes the process more interesting and creative. When you have more tools in your arsenal, it is easier for this to become second nature.

One thing that has been personally helpful and increased my interest in life coaching is trying out different experiments in my life by reading articles/books on mental strategies applied in sports Through different experiments and level of results achieved one can prepare a niche and provide services or start your coaching practice basis the same.. One is also insipred by results achieved by great sportspersons in their fields to apply their strategies and obtain positive results in ones own life..

Design sessions with diverse structures, from one-on-ones to group coaching. Experimenting with formats enriches your adaptability and enriching coaching dynamic. Create engaging and immersive coaching experiences. Leverage creative coaching- using imagery/ picture cards/ metaphors/ stories- to connect with clients in novel ways, expanding your coaching reach & engaging coachee's subconscious & multi-sensory elements into sessions. Such methods often unveil deeper insights, facilitating transformative journeys.

My approach is to connect with existing and old clients and ask them to be a part of a "reflective call" Discuss their coaching journey, their progress and explore the areas which are still working well for them. ??Pro tip: Seeking feedback need not be mechanical and boring with surveys. Catchup over a coffee, do a tiny online event and let your clients share their honest feedback and areas of improvement with you.

An unexamined life is not worth living. Don't be afraid of checking your face in the mirror. Seek feedbacks and feed them back to yield better you.

This is an opportunity to reassess strategies, gather insights, and adjust coaching methods while ensuring coaching relevance and effectiveness. Respecting client's feedback increases the likelihood of positive referrals and strengthens the coach's professional reputation.

What makes people standout, is not what they say about themselves, but what other people are saying about them. That is why, the use of testimonials, is very useful in making a brand stand out. People may not take what you say seriously, but they are sure to take the comments of other people about you seriously.

Client = case study, every client gives you a new opportunity to improve your skills and methods in order to improve your over all coaching practise. Constructive feedback is worth more than the buttering testimonial. Observe carefully how your client is growing with statistics and keep a check with monthly feedbacks.

One of the names I call myself is, a spiritual etymologist, why? My creativity with words has gone beyond mere play on words. Look at the word, "Creativity," I see; Create + Activity and this implies that, you need to understand that your creativity is hidden in the activities that you create for yourself or by others. Your creativity is not far from what you do. So, be intentional about it. Grow it and through consistency you master the act.

Live your life. Sometimes it can tend to become about helping everyone else become better. Always remember the why. Why did you choose the profession and are you working towards the vision? This reflection helps you keep things in perspective.

Every session is a piece of art and creativity. How you create a judgement free space for your client and how you let the client create their best possible future under your guidance, matters a lot.

Creativity plays a significant role in effective coaching and sometimes, inspiration strikes in unexpected places. Set aside time to nurture your creativity. Read books on personal development or biographies of inspiring individuals. Listen to podcasts or attend talks on topics that spark your curiosity. Find ways to nurture your creativity through activities like journaling, brainstorming sessions, or engaging in hobbies that stimulate your imagination. Allow yourself time for quiet reflection and exploration of new ideas. Take a class on a subject that interests you- even if it is completely unrelated to coaching – you never know where your next big idea might come from!

To seek inspiration as a life coach, one has to align one's mind and consciousness to come up with creative content. Also, one can draw inspiration from around us, the people we meet, and their stories and experiences. There is always something to learn from the individuals that we come across.

This is one of the most motivating statements that got me started on personal development and also helping others. The investment in oneself yields the highest Return On Investment.

You are your first client. Whatever new techniques you hear of or any tool you want to try, experiment it on your life. This way we also grow and stay motivated to help people tap into their innate potential.

Self-education and your personal experience are some of the best foundations for life coaching. Because you can only advise on something if you have experienced it or know how to deal with it. At one point, I thought there was no need for my advice because people knew what I knew (especially in my bubble). But it turns out that no – people don't necessarily know what I know, and they might not even look at the same thing from the perspective I do. It helped me a lot when I was working with my coach, and it helps me when I started talking to people now.

To me Coaching is more than just acquiring skills or knowledge; it's about transforming who you are! It takes courage to Lose yourself to Find yourself. Developing Character: self-awareness and integrity; aligning actions with values- builds a strong foundation. Building Confidence: recognize strengths and capabilities to tackle nuances. Growth Mindset: focus on continuous improvement and learning. Emotional Intelligence: understand and manage own emotions better and build stronger relationships with others. Self-Reflection: to gain insights into behaviors, thoughts, emotions & biases. Building Resilience: learn to navigate adversity with adaptability. Accountability: for actions and commitments.
