How can you evaluate your technical project effectively?

It is very important to decide the scope and canvas of the project. This allows to ascertain the resources allocation. It also helps to "predict" the progress and assess any challenges beforehand. SMART goals would make it more precise and easy to monitor.

In My Experience, Technical Project is most easy or could be the most difficult ones, depends on teams and (Stakeholders - Target) user who will be impacted during the project are important to properly evaluate, A good Solution is as of new Cloud Computing we can easily have backup before proceeding, we can have alternate solution if something goes wrong, at the same time budget is something we need to take care of, if we do not evaluate budget properly things we go wrong after completing project successfully.

In my experience clearly defining project objectives and success criteria at the outset in addition to ensure alignment with overall business goals and stakeholder expectations is very crucial. You also have to establish and track key performance indicators relevant to the project. One thing i have found helpful measuring metrics such as project timelines, budget adherence, and resource utilization is also important.

Define your project's objectives, requirements, and stakeholder expectations comprehensively. Identify your target users or customers and determine how their needs align with project goals. Implement measurement tools such as SMART goals, user personas, user stories, or key performance indicators (KPIs) to concretely outline and assess the impact, quality, and performance of the project. This structured approach will provide a clear framework for evaluating the project's success against predetermined criteria.

Since I began software development, my belief, reinforced by experience, remains unwavering: the most effective method to assess usability is by actively using the product. It's beneficial to involve a diverse group of individuals—varying in age, background, and ideally nationality—to engage with your product. Observing their interactions allows you to directly witness issues they might overlook or downplay, rather than relying solely on reports of their experiences. This approach helps in identifying and addressing problems firsthand.

I would say there are different levels of feedback that offer insights into various facets of the project. Firstly, there's the technical level, encompassing feedback from colleagues that evaluates technical quality and adherence to best practices in the project. Next, the business dimension comes into play. Here, your company or organization can offer guidance, especially if you lack experience in this area. This feedback assesses the project's viability and its effectiveness as a marketable product. Finally, there's the crucial layer of customer experience. This involves direct input from customers, enabling you to refine the product according to their needs and desires.

It is crucial to recognize that while customers typically know what they want in theory, they might not always possess the complete information to determine the most efficient route to achieve those desires. Hence, it's essential not to fear innovation. However, it's equally important to share your innovative ideas with customers or potential customers. This way, you can continuously gather feedback and verify if your conceptualizations align with the reality of customer experience, shaping your ideas based on their actual needs and responses.
