It is important as a teacher to answer a fundamental question to yourself. "Why do you want to use NLP in a your EdTech UX?" Some possible answers might be a) It enhances the communication experience of students, especially those who are not native english speakers; b) It makes my student's work more efficient in terms of time spent; c) NLP is important to me, because I don't care about typing speed or grammar, but I would like my students to communicate to me, their understanding of the concepts. There could be many other reasons, but clarity of "why" is paramount to start the process.

2 Choose your methods

Depending on your goals, there are various methods to evaluate EdTech UX design that uses NLP. Usability testing, for example, involves observing and interviewing users as they interact with the design. Tools like Google Forms, SurveyMonkey, or UserTesting can be used to collect feedback and data on usability issues, user satisfaction, and user preferences. During the novice phase of using an NLP infused EdTech UX, it would be better to adopt a reflective and a data driven approach to see if the new methodology truly does improve student outcomes or assessments or any other facet of the "Teaching Learning Process". A record of active learning methodologies, assessments and content delivery in the traditional method you have been using vs. the new method you have been trying with NLP needs to be compared and any gaps can be filled if this information and analyses are robust.

Definitely consider the accessibility of the tech to students. a) Do they have the minimum required smartphones / tablets / laptops b) Are they able to access and use good Wi-Fi or cheap 4G / 5G data (as many NLP products still depend on a robust internet connection to analyze the voice inputs and respond) c) Do they have access to good support (from you as a teacher / IT team / vendor etc.)
