Next is to make sure we have representative number of observations from each category, not to introduce data imbalance bias.

Format of questions is something to be very mindful of as it can completely jeopardise our results. For example, if questions are not possible to understand easily or suggest the answer, it will make respondents inclined to respond one way over another. Some data is sensitive to respondents, so it might force them to not respond or respond insincerely, which introduces error to our research. If a question is highly sensitive, it’s worth thinking how can we get the same information with a different question of skip the question altogether.
