A good example is to have prework safety meeting to make sure everyone from shift is familiar with all ongoing works at construction site. Especially on bigger projects.

Training workers through VDC (virtual design construction) to site safety during actual activities they may do will support their feeling of danger when they are close to any of these hazards through their work.

Unsafe acts are lapses by personnel in adhering to safety guidelines to to inadequate knowledge, focus on completion, shortcuts, etc. These are tougher to control and dependent on personnel behaviour. Overarching strategy would be to analyze and mitigate unsafe condition and correct behaviour by trainings and supervision.

It’s hard to appreciate a well planned traffic control plan until you’ve seen a few bad ones, especially in high traffic roadway improvement projects. Every aspect is important from clean traffic control devices, well maintained highly reflective striping, reflective construction signs, and very strict MUTCD compliance.
