- Before implementation of any new task , the risk should be assessed through doing a full risk assessment with all the risk that could be found. - it would go with every step and give it levels of risk , potential hazards , Violations based on probability and severity of the risk. Then add the proper control measures through the hierarchy of controls.

- For sure the PPEs are very important to prevent any risk on humans that will be working on the electrical panels. But before the right PPEs , there should be controls first to minimize the risk that could someone be exposed for.

4 Use lockout/tagout procedures

Lockout/tagout procedures are the steps that you follow to isolate and secure the electrical sources and circuits before you perform any work on them. This will prevent any accidental or unauthorized energization, start-up, or release of stored energy that can cause electrical hazards. You should use lockout/tagout devices, such as locks, tags, chains, and switches, to indicate and enforce the isolation status. You should also follow the lockout/tagout rules, such as verifying the de-energization, testing the equipment, and removing the devices when done.

- Actually the Lock out / Tag out is very important and mandatory to prevent any risk that could occur on humans that are working. I do recommend doing it with the safe work permit and the isolation to be with two locks instead of one. One for the electrical technician and one for the area owner written names on the locks of the owners and their numbers and everyone should sign on the SWP. - Finally , trying out action should be added for this procedure to ensure that LOTO is done properly.

- My opinion for this point 5S is very crucial , it should be done properly through a written checklist in the Safe work permit and also a checklist after finalizing the work in closure of the work permit to prevent any of this hazards, in addition this Safe work permit should be done by a competent person fully acknowledged and trained member.

6 Report and respond to incidents

Despite your best efforts, electrical hazards may still occur in a data center. You should report and respond to any incidents as soon as possible, following the emergency procedures and protocols of your data center. You should also seek medical attention if you or anyone else is injured by an electrical shock, burn, or blast. You should also investigate the root causes and corrective actions of the incidents, and document and share the lessons learned.
