How can you ensure confidential information is not shared on social media?

Confidential information ought to be treated as one. As an executive assistant, you should be careful not to disclose company's information no matter how tempted you become. You should also read and re-read before posting a content on social media to ensure you are not posting anything confidential. Third party apps should be restricted. Do not click on suspicious link or irrelevant ads to avoid being hacked or accessed.

Safeguarding confidential information on social media involves strict adherence to privacy protocols. Implement clear social media guidelines, provide regular training on data security, and use robust access controls. Encourage a culture of awareness and discretion among employees to ensure confidential information remains protected.

The organization should develop the use of secure communication channels for discussing official and confidential matters. It should also enlighten and strengthen the use of encrypted messaging platforms and internal communication tools to share sensitive information rather than relying on public social media channels.

In my experience, it is common practice to consider all aspects of privacy prior to posting on social media. There are just some things that should not be shared, confidential information is on of them. It is the responsibility of all users to ensure that they are cognizant of the information being posted.
