Setting the expectations right to the team solves half of your problem. Set the timelines clear, guide the team regularly and provide the proper feedback and follow up with them regularly.

When submitting a Pull Request to merge your code into the main branch, please conduct a thorough code review and maintain all comments within the PR for easy tracking and referencing. Additionally, ensure that the status is updated accurately.

When reviewing code, ensure that any coding standards for the product are adhered to, but try to avoid flagging up issues which are personal taste if those aren't part of your standards. Often this can avoid adoption of new practices (e.g. defensive coding techniques) which would be beneficial, purely because you've always coded in a different way, so treating such differences as a learning opportunity when reviewing is a good mindset to get into.
