In my experience, as a mental health professional, the best way to engage senior employees was to offer opportunities for case consultations and presentations. In other industries, this could look as simple as small-group cohorts or topic-centered meetings with opportunities to present real life scenarios.

Having a mentorship option as an employee goals is 1?? great way to have a queue of mentors lined up. Believe it or not people like ?? to share. Just look ?? at all the social media platforms (haha). If there is time set aside to help others in the community or even in the company and an employee can get a bonus or increased pay for it then this is a WIN-WIN for all parties involved.

I believe is important for mentoring to be part of the official package offer from HR. Everyone should be able to have a different mentor every 3 months, depending on what area they want to grow in or understand. Technology should be used to enable the matching process. I think this will really support with retention and growth of staff, and eventually also save in training costs?
