Make sure that you have clear guidelines and expectations communicated on your content expectations for your contributors, having a brand voice and style guide, clarifying roles, title and promotion paths, having clear examples and content calendars they contribute and shape the direction of and allowing them creative freedom in bringing in fresh ideas of content style, shape, size and medium to reach your goals and strategy. Entrust them with executing the vision, equip them with the tools and guides to create content faster for your product or brand and empower them to progress their skills and career and be compensated fairly.

Trust the people you hired to do the job you hired them for. Too much red tape and approvals inhibits creativity. Especially because sometimes the ones giving approval aren’t as plugged into what is necessary to make good and engaging content. Some of the best content happens on the fly and the right moment to post, especially on social media, is often ephemeral and requires quick decision making. Also, remember to recognize wins. Content creation is difficult and creating content that performs well is even harder. Creative work requires just as much skill and expertise as any other field and wins should be rewarded or recognized in the same manner.

Collaboration introduces a multi-dimensional dynamic. You no longer have full control over the process: outcomes and timelines are more fluid and cannot be entirely predicted in advance. Its benefits include potentially higher average quality of the end product, growth and development within the work group, and the opportunity to identify individual strengths, including leadership skills.

Feedback is the sunshine to growth . So ask for it and accept it. Then you go back and check if it is really true ,what did I and my team not do well. How can we improve.

Learning begins with curiosity and asking a lot of questions. Encourage content creators to keep a list of questions ready for their peers, experts, channel partners and customers. I would also encourage them to read competitor blogs and subscribe to newsletters from Gartner, McKinsey, BCG and Bain & Co to get a macro-perspective on trends and megatrends. If you are in B2B, reading your customer's annual reports and quarterly performance updates will definitely help you understand their business better.
