The first thing an employee should do when they start work or walk into the office building is recognise the efforts of another team member. Have public employee recognition boards available and allocate time or dedicated slots in management meetings where team members take time to recognise the efforts of others. Your recognition strategy should be deliberate, intentional, and structured. The CEO should lead by example and recognise employees both privately and publicly.
