In order to disinfect surfaces in an airplane effectively, it is essential to wear PPE such as gloves, masks, goggles, and aprons to protect yourself from exposure and contamination. Begin from the front of the cabin and work towards the back, or from the top to the bottom of the surface, so as to avoid recontamination. Clean the surface with a detergent or soap and water first, to remove any dirt, dust, or organic matter that may interfere with the disinfection process. Subsequently, apply the disinfectant to the surface according to the manufacturer's instructions for dilution, application, and contact time. Rinse or wipe off the disinfectant if necessary to prevent corrosion, staining, or residue. Dry the surface with a clean cloth or paper towel in order to prevent moisture and mold growth. Repeat this process for each surface using a fresh wipe, cloth, or sponge for each one. Finally, dispose of used materials and PPE in a sealed bag or container and wash your hands thoroughly.
