Planning and Securing:-) My planning for the year ahead starts in October by setting all recurring meetings in advance. It's easier to cancel if no longer needed instead of trying to add a meeting into busy schedules especially when external participants are required. From my point of view, we are supposed to pay attention all the time and be able to preview some unforeseen issues and work in advance in order to avoid mistakes or whatever may happen. Other strengths: detail-oriented, helpfulness, friendly, responsible, have a great communication skills are some important strong points that a person assistant should have.

Being flexible and adaptable is essential if one wants to achieve success in this role. Our managers operate in a 24/7 world. As an admin, while you can't work 24/7-that would lead to burnout-neither can you be a 9am to 5pm worker. If you learn how to professionally adapt to a constantly changing landscape, you will become an indispensable assistant and it will result in career advancement.
