Adaptive authentication uses contextual data to determine the level of authentication required, meaning that the user doesn't need to authenticate any more than is necessary. Biometrics are used when adaptive authentication determines that a higher level of authentication is necessary, and the great advantage of biometrics is that they are hard to circumvent, secure, and provide low friction for the user. This is why the combination of these two technologies creates some of the most impressive user journeys within the world of authentication.

Even biometric controls do not provide a very long term service to end users as they are also required to be renewed after certain period of time. If biometric are so trustworthy then why there is a need to renew them in line with static control? There's nothing 100% secured even Information Security society know it very well and accept it as well.

It's important to understand as IT professionals that for most users of our services IT security is not front of mind. While internally we may focus on these endeavors obsessively for our customers it's a passing thought. That's why we must meet people where they are. I don't mean that metaphorically; I mean physically (or virtually) attend meetings, join calls, participate in community events that your customers engage in. Take the opportunities to let customers know these services exist. Explain their value in an relatable way and underscore how easy they are to implement once and the peace of mind these security controls provide.

Who wants to be part of a learning program? Not me. As a user and industry proponent I find it alarming that we are treating this as a "learning" "educating" "culture" shifting program. If it is not beneficial or instinctive it ain't going to take off.
