Beginning to consider historical injustices created by engineering decisions should be evaluated during the start of a program. Training engineers in how to communicate with the communities they impact and to embody empathy and listening is key.

KISS- Keep It Simple, Silly. Too often science education drives for lofty goals and technical information sharing. Content and format must align with audience as educators serve these clients. If you are designing a program, you are the expert in your audience eyes. It is your job to make it accessible, fun, and relevant to your audience by reflecting on how to make it an engaging learning process.

The final step is to evaluate your program outcomes and impact, based on your goals and objectives, and the feedback and data from your audience and stakeholders. You should consider the outcomes, such as the changes in knowledge, skills, attitudes, behaviors, or actions of your audience that can be measured and documented using qualitative or quantitative methods. Additionally, you should consider the short-term and long-term impacts of your program, such as the effects on academic performance or environmental awareness. Lastly, you should evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of your program and use this information to improve your program design.
