It’s a fine line between standardisation and customisation. The interface between the user and the product has to be fine tuned such that the individual feels connected to what the device stands for. The back end of the product has to be standardised and retain a high degree of quality. The former needs both specific and generic user needs to be identified. The latter needs a technological mindset. Both should come together with the idea of longevity and durability.
