This should start with your RFP. Ask these questions out of the gate. We have TREMENDOUS power by including these asks when they go out to properties. But don't just ask WHAT they do, ask HOW they document and report it back to you so you can share with stakeholders and attendees. Ask about water, food waste, recycling, up cycling, etc.

An event is an apt place where representation and share of voice get tangibly allocated and delivered. This is much easier than it might seem. After lunch our minds go through what's called a post prandial dip of our circadian rhythm. It means were not our sharpest which makes for a great time for team building and incorporating a social give back section into the agenda. Build bikes, or assemble prosthetic hands, or something else to change both the community you're visiting and your attendees for the better.
