MS Windows is a family of Windows operating systems, each based on different NT kernel versions. It has a GUI, but Server versions also offer the possibility to use a CLI (Core option). macOS is once again a family of operating systems based on the Darwin kernel. If I am not mistaken, it is the only UNIX certified operating system for Desktop use. Linux is actually the kernel itself, and not an operating system. The utilities on top of it make up the operating system. The most widely used today is Android for mobile users, but for desktop users there are thousands of GNU/Linux distributions. If you are opposed to using the GNU Coreutils, there are alternatives as well.
