This is very true, but I do feel many companies and workers miss this step. In a hurry to be efficient on time they overlook this step and go straight to work without much investigation. This leads to problems down the line and repeat breakage.

Follow-up is very important. Many technicians and businesses don't follow up. Once it's out of sight they forget about it and move to the next task. Following up helps so much with customer loyalty and always help build customer relationships.

I agree that furthering your studies and learning more is useful. Unfortunately many employers do not notice this and do not work with their employees to further their careers with the company leading to turnover as the employee does not feel appreciated.
