It is always a good idea to dress for a formal interview, even if it's informal. Two informal interviews for different roles during my working history. 1. There was an ISO inspection in the office that the recruiter had forgotten about. He said he was relieved I had made the effort, despite it being informal and I was offered the role on the spot. 2. The recruiter had forgotten there was a retirement function in another part of the building. Someone called him during my interview to find out where he was! As I looked the part I was invited along and proudly introduced as a new member of staff.
