Two essential behaviours that a facilitator / trainer must display when facilitating a session on Zoom, or on any such platform, are patience and giving the necessary space for the learners to open up. In some cases, we see facilitators rather restless when facilitating an online training session. For instance, they ask a question, and if they don't receive a response immediately, they tend to give out the answer. It is important to understand that some learners might find learning on an online platform rather challenging. So, being patient is essential. If there is complete silence in your session after you've asked the question, see if you could rephrase the question or start probing. This will surely help the learners open up slowly.
