As a person who has worked on a few scripts, I intrinsically understand the nuances of communication during the scriptwriting stage. Here are a few tips culled from my personal experience. MOST IMPORTANTLY, Know your scriptwriter's personality. Are they a morning or night person? Are they introverted or otherwise, What time of day are they most creative etc 1. Communication plan: Have a process that outlines how, when, where, and with whom you will communicate with your team. 2. Pay attention: If you are unsure, ask for clarification. 3.Proofread: Make time to proofread information you want to post or send. But have a limit to which you do this else you stifle creativity 4. Don't overcommunicate: Your team knows their job. Give them space

I believe, the key to ensuring an effective communication with the scriptwriters is to have a very clear vision of the script and to set out the guidelines for achieving the ideal script in the writer’s bible. An extensive briefing session, ideally with all the writers present, and regular editing sessions are also instrumental in ensuring that everyone is (literally!) on the same page. Concise and constructive criticism of each draft is equally important. If something is off, it’s best to address it honestly and respectfully, so the desired changes can be made in the next draft. There’s nothing more frustrating for a writer than hearing praise for every draft and then suddenly being subjected to a barrage of criticism at the end.
