Know yourself! You can step in front of any audience as long as you are aware of the topic. What do you want to say, communicate? Then deliver your message to the 4 corners . The right and left far ends and the close corners of the room. It’s quite simple.

You don't want to bore your audience with long, rambling, or confusing speeches. Get ALL the details and running order from you event organiser before the event. Structure your evening and then prepare...and prepare some more. In my experience, have more content ready than you would need cos your would feel your audience and maybe need to adapt. Remember, you are there to "glue" the evening together and ensure flow of the event, it's NOT your show or comedy night.

Your delivery is as important as your content. You want to deliver your content with confidence, enthusiasm, and charisma. You want to use your voice, body language, and facial expressions to convey your emotions, attitudes, and intentions. You want to use your eye contact, gestures, and movements to connect with your audience and keep their attention. You want to use your tone, pitch, volume, and pace to emphasize your points and create contrast and rhythm. You want to use pauses, silences, and fillers strategically to create suspense, drama, or humor.
