It's rare to see top executives in production. That's where the difference becomes apparent. Of course, executives have a huge amount of work to do, and their place is not in production, but their absence suggests that production staff are not important, despite their commitment. A good practice would be for management to take the time to go and see production, as this would enable a direct exchange of views and a better understanding of the reality on the ground.
