1 Be transparent and authentic

One of the key factors that influence trust and credibility is transparency and authenticity. You need to communicate clearly and honestly with your network members, sharing your vision, values, and intentions, as well as your challenges, limitations, and uncertainties. You also need to be consistent and reliable in your actions, following through on your commitments and delivering on your promises. By being transparent and authentic, you can show your network members that you respect them, value their input, and are willing to learn from them.

One of the most important things a leader can do is lead by example. Being authentic is also very important. If you are authentic it is easier for your team to trust you. You also need to be clear on your expectations then hold the team accountable but not micromanage. As a leader you need to be able to manage change in a positive way after all we know change will happen if we like it or not. Lastly value each team member. Like the saying goes it takes team work to make the dream work!

This is wonderful, because without authenticity and clear communication all in the network are doomed. The precursor to all these is a series of awarenesses: self, other, the work of leadership, and the deeply held beliefs that drive the chosen cause. All of what I have mentioned will give all access to a matching set of mastery’s: self, relational, mandate and agenda, as well as the lauded: mastering authenticity, the cherry ?? on top.

In my experience, being collaborative and valuing team inputs has produced some really great ideas, initiatives and results. One of the key strengths of networked leadership is its connectivity; not just to others in the leadership role or position but also to the community and other key stakeholders. This makes for some really interesting conversations but it drives sustainable outcomes.
