How can you build a strong team culture during a crisis?

Be grateful for the crisis. See it as a point in time to break out of the old routine. It is fuel for the future waiting on the other side of that crisis. It will end and we can be better as a result of going through it with purpose to go through it. For the servant leader, I've found it to be a moment for your team to grasp what you are to them and what they mean to you.

Communication is so important during a crisis. We can empower our teams by being as transparent and real about what's going as possible. Loop them into help instead of "protecting" them.

All good examples but the best option is to build a strong team and positive culture before the crisis. A crisis is a predictable event ( even if we can’t predict what crisis or where) so we should all be training and preparing for a crisis long before it actually occurs. Train hard, fight easy as the saying goes.

Support the decision makers with space to think, create, adapt plans and sense check them. Communication is always the weak link so create a Communication strategy that is clear, simple and effective but then allow for clarification from all parties. Too many times we say 'clear Communication' however its the receiver that will tell u if its clear, not the instigator of the message, so this clarification should be sought to minimise the risk of mis Communication

Building a shared culture and values from day one will help navigate any crisis. Build trust between team members and with you by ensuring the purpose is still known and understood so everyone is working towards same goal. Uncertainty is a cause of stress so regular and open communication about changing conditions, and being vulnerable as a leader also creates trust. Keep the focus on building a safe, supportive environment in which employees feel valued, will help keep culture strong during a crisis.” After all, it’s your people who are going to get you through.

La única forma de construir un equipo sólido en una crisis es que: 1. Cada miembro de ese equipo haya desarrollado un fuerte sentido de confianza en los otros con anterioridad. 2. Existan especialistas en cada tema y que se respeten sus opiniones 3. Se hayan previsto, determinado y simulado los roles y objetivos de cada miembro durante la crisis 4. Los posibles riesgos hayan sido evaluados y ponderados por los miembros del equipo de crisis y se hayan determinado en conjunto acciones para mitigarlos 5. Que no haya protagonistas que vulneren el trabajo en equipo por tratar de destacar o alcanzar agendas individuales. Y que haya apertura para incluir todas las ideas

Name it crisis or risk, few we can pre-define and few nobody can foreseen!! Being a servant leader it's our resposnibility to demonstrate empathy toward our team members' concerns and challenges. Provide support, both professionally and personally, to show them that the team's well-being is a priority for us. Involve the team in problem-sloving processes, leveraging diverse perspectives to find a sloution to tackle the situation. Being servant leader we should led by examples which will inspire our teams to build postitive attitude & adaptabilty in any tough situation.
