How can you become more involved in your company's decision-making process?

Become a partner to organisations goals. Align your action to achieve outcomes that can put you closure to the organisation goal. Ensure that overcome hurdles and create opportunities that add pace to the overall organisations movement.

Continuously develop your skills and knowledge to position yourself as a valuable asset to the decision-making process. Be vocal about your ideas and insights during meetings, demonstrating your commitment to driving positive change. By actively participating, staying informed, building relationships, and showcasing your skills, you can increase your involvement in your company's decision-making process and contribute to shaping its future direction.

The first step to quality CEO decision-making is to define the problem. What is the issue that needs to be addressed? What are the goals that need to be achieved? Once the problem is clearly defined, the CEO can begin to develop a plan to address the issue. The second step is to gather information. The CEO needs to collect data from various sources to help identify potential solutions to the problem. This data can come from internal sources, such as financial reports and employee surveys, or external sources, such as industry reports and competitor analysis. The CEO should also consider the opinions of experts in the field, such as consultants and advisors. The third step is to analyze the data. The CEO needs to examine the data.

Knowing your goals also starts with knowing how to do your job well - an advice i got from a couple of bosses in my career - do your current job well! Learn it, deliver it, grow with it and build it a point where you are strategically capable of leading it. That builds credibility and subject matter expertise.

To become more involved in company decision-making, express your interest to your supervisor, contribute innovative ideas during meetings, and seek opportunities to collaborate with different departments. Building strong relationships with colleagues and showcasing your skills can also increase your visibility within the organization.

Be a problem solver for your manager and a helping hand for your colleagues. Be sensitive of what is happening around you, always work with an attitude to deliver and once delivered ensure to communicate that to manager and peers.

If you want to help someone, you got to first help yourself! Work on yourself so that you become more skilled and capable to be able to make meaningful contribution in your company decision making process. Understand the goals and values of the company and ensure that they align with yours. Be Punctual, be humble show enthusiasm and get to the depth of any issue before you give your suggestions. Be also ready to be challenged, and accept even if your suggestion is not accepted. Overtime build your credibility with your sincerity and that will ensure your involvement in the decision making process.

Credibility grows with networking, with presence and of course by building trust. Trust comes through consistent performance and delivery of results. Trust is when your colleagues know you can get the job done, that you can help them and even rescue them in their time of need. Trust is built when what you say is how your service/process works. Subject matter experts can develop trust and credibility quickly.

Working with other senior leaders and getting a capable leader to mentor you establishes a platform for you to express yourself, demonstrate your skills, your thinking, to someone who is up the ranks. When they take notice, they can be a voice for you to promote your competence and potential to others who matter and that can support your career growth. That growth takes you to decision making positions.

If you want to be heard, you should show interest in various company topics. These could include short- and long-term strategies, current projects, financial results, goals, or different opportunities provided by the company. By actively engaging in discussions on these topics, your network within the company will expand, increasing your visibility. Consider participating in various initiatives organized by the company, as they often give opportunities to be involved in different campaigns or work on current topical issues.

Be involved, be curious, be interested to take the lead and of course drive home results. Asking questions and learning more about the business by visiting production facilities and sites; attend networking events to represent the company.

Demonstrate curiosity, proactivity, and enthusiasm about decisions impacting your work and team confidently and when appropriate for the topic and audience. Assuming familiarity, understanding, thorough background research, and completed work support your proposed involvement; inquire, express relevant opinions, ideas, and suggestions confidently without mousy open ends. Inquire and challenge the status quo respectfully and constructively. Know when to table it when up against ardent opposition. Avoid defensiveness and aggressive stances, with both superiors and colleagues. Support suggestions with logic while acknowledging all perspectives. Embrace feedback & criticism for later follow-up, showing a willingness to learn & improve.

Internal Networking. Not only your job position allows you to make yourself heard. If you can manage to showcase your perspective and provide input to different internal stakeholders, you might become more aware of the decision making process, and influence it
