Conduct surveys, interviews, or assessments to gather comprehensive insights. Understanding the current digital landscape enables a targeted and personalized approach to change.

Recognize that digital literacy is a journey, and individuals may require ongoing support as they adapt to new technologies. Provide resources, job aids, or access to support channels where coachees can seek assistance with digital tools. In the case of multiple clients, for example, teams and employees, have to think about different formats and ways, like in-person vs virtual, formal vs informal, and internal vs external, to maximize the learning curve.

Tailor learning methods to your coachee's preferences, incorporating a mix of formal, informal, experiential, and social approaches to meet diverse needs. With a multi-generational workforce, avoid assumptions about technological competency. Assess your coachee's learning style—visual, auditory, or hands-on. Address any reluctance to try new methods stemming from familiarity. Regularly evaluate the learning strategy's effectiveness through feedback and performance metrics.
