A simple JSA to identify hazards BEFORE they cause injury or damage. 1. Make a list of the steps of the job 2. List out all hazards for each step. 3. List out mitigation for each hazard. 4. List out secondary mitigation for each hazard. 5. Train to this JSA. 6. Review JSA each shift to identify any additional hazards that may have been overlooked. Use a committee of operators of the equipment to develop the JSA.
