Moslty I'd say it's more adapting than actually doing what you really want to do. If you have a action movie you wanna shoot, you might know that you'll have to explode things, destroy cars and etc. But if you do a suspense movie, you'll have to focus entirely on the narrative, and the script must be more captivating. But when you have to decide to save up in production, be aware that you have to consider what the audience wants to see...

Knowing where you're headed is really important. You have to understand the principle of each platform you want to release your film. Sometimes we're addicted to money and we're always focusing on that. But if you want to become succesfully and work with other movies or shows, you must focus on awareness. People have to enjoy your show, they have to be seduced by what you've created. Most of the times it's leveling the expectations. By the end of the day, you need money to keep creating these movies, right? 50-50

Camera Operators, Cable, Audio, Producer, Set Designer, Makeup, Light and etc, and each one of them, has to be focused on their objetives). - Set a deadline (As earlier as possible, for big productions, and 1 month earlier, for small productions) - Communicate (You found some mistakes, talk it off). - Recruit the right people (See what's your necessity first, before going on the market to find some good professionals).
