How can you accurately represent your product through photography?

My Perspective! 1. High-Quality Images: Ensure your photos are sharp, well-lit, and in focus to showcase your products in the best possible way. 2. Consistent Branding: Using similar colors, lighting, and composition across all product images. 3. Contextual Shots: Include images that show your products in real-life scenarios/contexts, helping customers visualize how the products fit into their lives. 4. Lifestyle Imagery: Create lifestyle photos that evoke emotions and convey the lifestyle associated with your brand, helping customers connect on a personal level. 5. Professional Editing: Utilize photo editing tools to refine and enhance your images, adjusting colors, contrast, and brightness to achieve a polished and professional look.

From my point of view, to create a good photo product we needs to have a knowledge on few fundamental factors like composition, lighting, focus, and editing. We also need to pay attention to details, to have a story concept, and ensure the product aligns with our main message.

Hire a good photographer who has the right photo equipment, it will be less stressful and give you much better images. They will know what equipment to use and how to light the subject because of their experience.

Growing into photography led me to have G.A.S. (Gear Acquisition Syndrome) -- to have the coolest and newest gadgets. Over time and experience, I learned that all of these are just tools and we should choose the right equipment for the job at hand. The new tools will help make some jobs easier to do but not always new is necessary.

From my experience! 1. Understand who is the target, It's not the same to sell a product to an 18-year-old than an 38 person. Use that in your favor and put your creativity to create the best visuals for that target Spoiler alert! (It will help you to be a person who can adapt easily) 2. Weave a compelling narrative around your product or service. People connect with stories, so make sure your message resonates emotionally. Share not just what your product does, but why it matters to your audience. This creates a lasting impression and a deeper connection. 3. Take it easy!, remember that we are creative people, if you don't enjoy the creation process you won't like the result. 4. Stop overthinking and take the camera

Hire a professional. I had the opportunity to take a class with my daughter where we made a dish together and photographed the dish. My equipment was way better than hers, but she had an eye that I could not match. You wouldn’t take your own photographs or ask your guests to take your wedding photos if you want some archival memories. Our daughter is a professional photographer now and she had another pro handle her wedding. Your product photography represents your product simply and powerfully. Get the best with a pro.

Yes, plan your photography and how or what you are gonna shoot, however, be aware that not alway what you plan is going to look as it was in your head, thats why I always suggest to try different point of views when you are in the act of photographing. Do not stick to much on the plan coz if, for example, the light wasn't the best, if something unexpected happens, then you have to reinvent and come up with a new plan a new strategy. When you go with the flow while you are taking photos maybe you will come up with something better than you were planning. And yes, photograph in multi shot mode.

Muchos piensan que fotografiar es llegar con la cámara y comenzar a tomar fotos... claro eso se puede hacer, pero las grandes fotos, esas que deslumbran, normalmente llevan un alto grado de preparación, de reflexión previa. Pregúntate: ?Para qué las quiero? ?Quién las va a ver? ?Quiero que el producto esté solo sobre un fondo blanco? ?Cuál es el branding de la marca? ?Como puedo hacer para que algo normal se vea espectalular? Si respondes estas y otras preguntas antes del primer disparo, y preparas todo en base a las respuestas, los resultados que obtendrás sin duda serán de otro nivel.

Lighting is a huge element that influences mood. branding is partly about evoking a certain mood/feeling from the customer. Lighting plays a very important role when planning product photography.

Plan your shot with purpose. Without purpose you can meander around aimlessly and never achieve your goals. If you take a shot and don't like it, identify specifically what you don't like. If you can't identify specifically what you don't like, take some time to understand what's wrong. "I don't like it" isn't an element that can be corrected. Balance, shape, light, color, dynamics, expression, etc. are elements that can be corrected. A good photograph takes time to be MADE. Product photography is beyond the realm of taking pictures. The taking of the picture is an insignificant part of producing a quality product photograph.

Color is crucial for a customer. Sometimes, lighting and background colors can cause colors to look different on camera. Take the time to color correct the images accurately, masking and re-coloring if necessary! You want to ensure the color a customer sees on the site will be the exact color they see in their hand!

Lighting and color are the most important aspects of the photos of my jewelry. I always have to do a little editing of each photo: cropping the photo to show each piece in the best way. I edit the lighting and the color to make sure the photo shows the piece with the correct color. I don't want my customer to receive their purchase and be unhappy because the photo didn't show the correct color.

Todas las fotos necesitan ser procesadas luego de haber sido tomadas, no hay excepción. Si la toma fue bien hecha, con una buena y correcta iluminación y encuadre, el retoque será mínimo, ajustar un poco el contraste, luces altas y bajas y quitar algún polvito o defecto que aparezca por allí y cosas por el estilo. Si la toma no está tan buena, o el producto presenta algunos defectos, entonces el trabajo es mucho mayor... en ocasiones puede necesitar de un milagro... Mi consejo es que no te confíes en que luego lo arreglas todo en la computadora... es mejor tomarse un poco más de tiempo en el momento de la toma que dedicar luego horas a hacer correcciones frente a la computadora.

El tama?o y calidad siempre la marcan las plataformas a las que se van a subir, es importante tomar en cuenta y apegarse a las normas de cada plataforma. Los textos alternativos y metadatos siempre deben estar presente y pensarlos de la forma más eficiente para lograr un mejor SEO

Asegúrate de exportar tus imágenes con el formato y tama?o indicados para cada plataforma. Comprime las imágenes manteniendo el equilibrio entre calidad y peso. Renombra las imágenes con el nombre o palabras clave del producto. Si las imágenes contienen una capa de texto no te excedas en la compresión, ya que se evidenciará demasiado la pérdida de calidad por la compresión. Por último, exporta en sRGB para una correcta visualización del color en web.

The "sizes of photos" and "files types" can be adjusted in a photo editing app like photoshop. Writing captions, filling data in blanks, choosing right name ,adding tags can increase the possibility of success.

Even in a home or studio there may be many devices which their screens do not display an image in a same colors and condition. Calibration screens and monitors is a sensitive work which needs experiences and knowledge. So we have to experience and test more our works before final representation.

Pasa mucho que quien trabaja con las fotos tiene una configuración de brillo alejado del estandar de la gente, por lo que lo ve bien en su computadora o en su celular, pero al publicarlo, el resto de personas lo ve o muy oscuro o muy claro, o con una colorización diferente. Las pruebas son muy impotantes, sobre todo si tus fotos están destinadas a servir de vehículo para vender tus producto

En mi experiencia las fotografias las podemos tomar, revelar o procesar de mil formas, sin embargo cada dispositivo tiene sus propias características y personalización, sería demasiado pretencioso pensar que en todos lados se visualizaran perfectas. Respecto a las analíticas de desempe?o, creo que ese trabajo quedará bajo la responsabilidad de quien las utiliza en sus sitios web, o redes.

If you only take portraits, go out and take long exposures; if you do street, stay inside and dive into macro photography. The possibilities are endless actually. The best part? You can easily combine the new knowledge and enrich your niche field of photography. I love photography.

Don't be afraid to FAIL. As these lessons can always turn out to be a teaching point. What worked, what DIDN'T work, what could be better? Even after gaining my BA(Hons) in Photography, I still make mistakes when shooting. And these mistakes teach me more about my practice and how to refine to be the best that I can be

Practice a lot! In different spaces, with models, in landscapes, in open places, closed places, with lots of and little light. Learn how your behavior behaves and what it allows you to deliver. And try new things. Use color in lighting. Try dramatic things, change angles. All of this will help you build a repertoire to take better photographs.

I would also add the importance of understanding your product. Know your product's features, benefits, and unique selling points. This understanding will guide you in highlighting the most important aspects in your photos.

Ultimately, the goal is to create images that not only showcase the product's physical attributes but also convey its value, purpose, and significance to potential consumers.

It is very important that the photos highlight the strength of your product and how it differs from competitors. While white background photography is necessary for many retail portals, an environmental lifestyle photo help the viewer "feel" how it is to own the product and motivates sales.

Make sure your product is the central focus in the composition and that it is clearly focused and properly lighted. When deciding on the setting and composition, eliminate any distractions from your product.

In my experience you have to be astute to proper lighting and background for the product. That will make or break the image. Proper lighting and background is an absolute necessity.
