Women focused ICT Security Network? I have realized from experience that while a number of Women Groups that focus on ICT Security do exist, they do not always give you all the answers. Some of the approaches that I have found useful are; 1. Keeping abreast and ahead with Standards and Best Practices. 2. Understanding the broad ICT Governance principles. 2. Being able to understand and share info. on core standards such as ISO/IEC 27001/2. 3. Other specific standards also enhance one's knowledge and application. These may include a. 27017 - Cloud services b. 27701 - Privacy c. 27799 - Health d. 27110 - Cybersecurity etc.etc. With this level of subject matter expertise, value addition to the Women s network becomes automatic.

Sometimes your best connectors could very well be within your own house. I've had members of leadership attend industry gatherings and events where they likely have discussed IT.
