You can find multiple 3rd party frameworks, typically plugins, that simplify many aspects of VR development including multiplayer replication. And often times these platforms are built by Unreal Grant awardees and they offer reasonable support. But unless you're building something very generic or something that matches one of these frameworks, you're better off using the bare bones infrastructure that Unreal offers as you'll be able to configure it to your exact requirements in a shorter time.
