Expérimenter des outils permet d'en avoir une meilleure connaissance et surtout d'identifier à quel besoin pédagogique spécifique chaque outil permettre de répondre. Il n'y a pas d'outil passe-partout. Tester les outils permet aussi de vérifier au préalable l'accessibilité, la facilité d'utilisation pour les apprenants et les autres collègues, sa disponibilité, son efficacité à aider à mieux apprendre, à bonifier l'activité d'enseignement -apprentissage. Ne pas oublier que l'outil est au service de la pédagogie et non juste un effet de mode. S'il n'apporte pas une plus-value significative ou même complexifie l'activité et/ou l'acquisition de la compétence ou connaissance envisagée, il est à écarter.
