Students become agents of change in their school community by first cultivating a strong sense of ownership and responsibility towards their environment. Encouraging active participation in decision-making processes, such as student councils or feedback sessions, empowers them to voice their ideas and concerns. Integrating project-based learning that addresses real-world issues within the school context can also foster practical problem-solving skills. Additionally, promoting a culture of respect, inclusivity, and collaboration ensures that diverse perspectives are valued, driving meaningful and sustainable change.

Some Changes are Invisible While most of the educational changes are a rush to data driven growth, the most important changed are invisible. The growth of the learner and the teacher Learner must be as a human person first, all learning must end making a few qualities first, a humble and sincere, a person who cares in all ways, an understanding and hardworking person. The biggest philosophies in this world are the simplest, but it is seen to show the numbers we miss the essence, and heavily in the data driven growth system in education.

Na minha experiência o sentimento de pertencimento escolar faz com que os alunos se envolvam efetivamente, nas atividades escolares, bem como o relacionamento com todos os demais agentes que comp?em a escola. O pertencimento escolar está relacionado a uma série de fatores, como o sentimento de estar em um grupo e viver rela??es interpessoais, ganhando confian?a e sendo protagonista da sua história. Também se relaciona com a identifica??o com os valores da institui??o. Tendem a ser mais engajados nas atividades escolares, alcan?ando melhores resultados no rendimento. Além de melhorar a aprendizagem, alunos que se sentem pertencentes a uma comunidade têm menor probabilidade de sofrer de ansiedade, depress?o e outros problemas de saúde mental.

Students can become agents of change in their school community through various ways: Leadership Roles: Taking on leadership roles in student organizations or clubs can empower students to initiate and lead change. Community Service: Engaging in community service projects helps address local issues and sets an example of proactive involvement. Peer Education: Educating fellow students on important issues like environmental conservation, mental health, or inclusivity can foster a more informed and empathetic school culture.

Setting up Service Learning projects within the school’s curriculum can create meaningful ways for students to be agents of change. They get to identify problems or issues, research solution options, and serve the community by implementing their final solution. This causes them to engage with many stakeholders and also apply academic skills.

Student Leadership is important for students to realize the importance of responsibility and more than that it can give them the practical experience of things. It's important that they face these real-life situations through leadership roles and then come up with solutions that can help them understand real-life situations.

The Only Meaningful Leadership It can never be better if the students are making their own syllabus and learn, make their own rubric to assess themselves. Lead the educational campaign for changes and demand of improvement. Who else is a better voice, team and leader than the people in it. Student leadership must be encouraged more than the teacher leadership, Though if teacher leadership is democratic, students are heavily guided and well directed. But if students are democratic, a good political system is ahead in building.

Já ultrapassamos a revolu??o industrial e o processo de produ??o em linha na educa??o, na qual a reprodu??o de verdades insofismáveis era a garantia de qualidade de ensino. Hoje, transformar a vida de um jovem está ligado a uma aderência de propósitos que em parte advém de sua cultura familiar e social, mas de outra é e devem ser desenvolvidas no processo escolar, habilidade, competências e atitudes para um posicionamento ativo na vida. Students can only become agents of change, if they are involved in the change management. The change needs to focus on the outcome of the learning process – what the students will gain through the change. For the student it needs to be clear that their involvement will have real impact on the process. In our digital transformation of the school, students were central to the development. We clearly communicated the overall aim and invited students to participate through a variety of channels - workshops, practical sessions, Digital Champions, Peer support, 1:1 clinics with influencers and multiplicators.

Existem várias formas de como os alunos podem desenvolver a habilidade socioemocional de lideran?a porém, tudo come?a em como ele é guiado durante seu processo acadêmico. Existem alunos que já disp?em da habilidade de liderar porém, sendo guiado pelas metodologias corretas, todos eles podem se nivelar no desenvolvimento de tal habilidade. Tudo depende de como os professores vem sendo formados na aplica??o de tais metodologias e se est?o prontos para trazer problemas reais e tomar a postura de guia para formar o aluno aut?nomo com êxito.

Para obter êxito na vida acadêmica e profissional, é fundamental que os alunos desenvolvam suas habilidades de lideran?a. Preparando os estudantes para os desafios do mundo real, as habilidades de lideran?a promovem uma experiência educacional mais rica, estimulando o crescimento tanto em ambito pessoal quanto profissional. Para desenvolver habilidades de lideran?a, é essencial ter um bom entendimento de si mesmo. é importante que os alunos fa?am uma reflex?o profunda sobre as suas for?as, fraquezas, valores e paix?es. A fim de liderar com sucesso os outros, é primordial compreender a si mesmo. Também participar ativamente, colaborar em equipe, assumir desafios, buscar desenvolvimento contínuo e construir relacionamentos significativos.

Entendo uma escola como um centro de colabora??o e desenvolvimento de lideran?as, ainda que passivas. Mas para tanto, primordial que a escola entenda seu papel para além da transferência de conhecimentos técnicos, mas sim colaborando para a constru??o de uma mentalidade cidad?. Neste sentido, as atividades extra curriculares de inser??o na comunidade, de vida em grupo, de práticas culturais, esportivas, sociais, devem fazer parte do planejamento estratégico destes estabelecimentos, gerando nos alunos a inser??o nos problemas globaiscom um sentimento de potencial transforma??o. Tal atitude gera no aluno um olhar do todo e transporta o conhecimento recebido para a aplicabilidade.

Students need the safe space to learn leadership skills. Having older students model leadership to the younger years is a powerful tool as this also provides succession for the roles to be filled. When these older and younger students are successfully mentored they can run almost independent of supervision. This further raises the level of leadership shown. Good mentoring should focus on regular feedback, areas of improvements and opportunity for growth (in a very positive way). Allowing young students to attend leadership courses or workshops (even if run by older students) has been very successful.

At Children's Academy International School, we empower students to tackle these challenges through a design thinking course. This course equips them with practical tools like empathy interviews, brainstorming techniques, and rapid prototyping. One crucial skill they learn is active observation – not just seeing the problem, but understanding the needs and perspectives of those involved. Na minha experiência, o desenvolvimento das softskills relacionadas a comunica??o e relacionamento devem ser exercitados neste momento, de modo a interagirem na busca das melhores solu??es para os mesmos e os demais.

Providing students with their own communication platform within the school′s LMS is an important tool to grow the team and belonging. Providing an official channel will avoid communication happening of various social media or messaging apps which can′t be controlled. Responsible students can monitor the conversations to avoid unsuitable content. Encouraging students to review their own submissions quickly increased the quality of the communication and improves engagement. Allocating a member of staff to interact with the communications can identify issues, misunderstandings and successes much quicker. This will further enhance the effectiveness of the change process and improves the students involvement.

Adiciono ainda, a auto avalia??o como fator importante do desenvolvimento do aluno principalmente, no que diz respeito a competências. O aluno do século XXI é o aluno que precisa ver sentido no que aprende. Quando conectamos o desenvolvimento de competências nos vários processos de aprendizagem e damos a oportunidade do aluno avaliar as próprias competências desenvolvidas aliadas a conex?o com problemas reais, há uma conex?o grande na realiza??o individual e até mesmo na conex?o com outros alunos parceiros por meio de reconhecer o próprio mérito de atua??o e como o outro também contribuiu para o desenvolvimento de determinada habilidade ou competência.

A universidade, no Brasil, faz isso muito bem (especialmente a pública). Abre espa?o para participa??o nos conselhos administrativos, no colegiado de curso, em projetos de ensino, pesquisa e extens?o e diversas outras atividades. Naturalmente, na América Latina, a universidade possui a característica de 3 pilares: o aluno aprende o conteúdo, produz novas teorias e ainda pode levar tal aprendizado à comunidade acadêmica. A Rede Federal de Educa??o Profissional é um excelente exemplo disso. Desde o ensino médio, até o doutorado, o aluno é instigado a trabalhar e resolver dilemas da sua comunidade por meio da Inova??o.

Recognizing student growth is crucial. From my own experience, celebrating this growth not only boosts the students' morale but also has an impact on parents. Many times, they anticipate negative news when the school calls. A recent incident involving one of our coaches highlighted this. The father expressed that he had never received a celebratory call before and wanted the coach to know that it made his day. Making the celebration of student growth a part of our process has been invaluable.

By voicing their ideas and concerns to teachers, administrators, and fellow students, they can initiate productive discussions and inspire others to join their cause.
