While there can be many areas but it is important to focus on niche areas which you want to take up as your route. The focused areas difine you and your personality so it is very important to choose them concisely.

Clarity about your passion and embracing its non-traditional nature can set you apart in personal branding. Being transformational often sparks innovation and attracts a unique audience who resonate with your unconventional approach.

If you apply that same logic to other social platforms you begin to build a personal brand. An authentic persona that people can buy into too. Partner that authenticity with a niche. And be narrow focused in your approach - be it comedy, leadership advice, fashion, marketing, performance etc. Ensure you’re posting religiously and in line with your truth. And you will be golden. Have the courage to be disliked! Share your opinion and don’t follow along with the crowd. Platforms like LinkedIn are amazing but we often see the same content over and over. Have an edgy take on something? Voice it! You’ll stand out for the crowd ??

Be who you are. It's so obvious when people are simply trying to sell something that they have never previously mentioned. People interact with people and trust is built in this way. If you show yourself not to be authentic all trust is gone.

Put your work into practice. Its easy to do it for yourself but being able to do it for others is another thing. Ive been doing both and i dont always talk about it, but this just allows me to share my learnings along the way to others who are a step behind me.

This is where most people will falter. Always ensure you are reviewing what did and didnt work, almost all social monitoring tools (even the free ones) will have the capacity to help you gain a high level view of your most and least popular posts. Set some time aside each month to review what you share every month. repurpose what works, adapt what doesnt with what does. For example, if text posts work poorly but videos work well? adapt your text post into a script for a video!

Ultimately, you can build a very strong PERSONAL BRAND but that doesn't have a knock on impact on your actual work performance in practice. I've seen many people with great personal brands who in theory should be able to market a business or another person, but just don't have the experience. Don't think just because you are building a personal brand that you can stop implementing your tips and learnings into real-world practice. You don't want to sound pro to the public, but perform poorly for your employer or clients.

Have clear voice, tone, Personality throughout all your social media channels which clearly Reflects your values, goals. ?
