How can a project manager encourage team members to think outside the box?

For team members to think out of the box, they should be comfortable with what is in the box. The environment should be of trust and the project manager should empower the team to take decision and support them in doing so. Along with this, below are some of the things that could aid team members to think out of the box - - opportunities to collaborate - Encourage innovation by having events like hackathon or a platform for them to create and share ideas. - having a rewards system in place to recognise members who are creative and work on new challenges.
