Different methods, such as field tests, monitoring, or simulation, can be used to validate the pavement design. This step serves to verify that the pavement thickness is suitable and sufficient for the site conditions and project requirements. Validation of the pavement design provides several advantages, including improving the accuracy of design assumptions and calculations, identifying and addressing any potential issues prior to construction, optimizing pavement performance and minimizing maintenance costs, as well as enhancing the quality and safety of the project.
