The tech industry revolves super fast, every second day you see a new emerging technology taking all the attention. Therefore, you need to stay abreast with the latest technology trends, learn and polish your skills, and develop new tech skills according to the market needs. As long as you're learning and improving yourself, the tech industry will reward you with high-paying careers, great business opportunities, and whatnot! But as soon as you stop this process, others who keep on doing this will take the lead and you will be left behind. Learning and growth are like a never-ending journey in this tech world where you can't just stop coming across new trends and modern technologies. No one can ever be perfect in this tech world.

They need to be able to propose a solution and solve a problem through programming. Getting familiar with and writing code isn't the only requirement; you also need to understand the impact of the code you are creating. Consider where your code will stand after a certain period, how it will behave when scaled and relied upon. Once an individual reaches that point, I believe they are in a position to turn their skills into a business where they can lead a team of individuals like themselves and be an inspiration to them.

I'm personally a big believer in the idea that there are "engineers," "managers," and "entrepreneurs," and these require very different skillsets. Hanging out your shingle as an engineer does not, sadly, mean you're going to be an amazing entrepreneur. If you have interest in growing your business beyond just yourself, I strongly recommend: 1. Deciding if your passion REALLY IS growing your business vs. slinging code. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the former (it's a fun, creative, and fulfilling way to make a living) 2. Save money because your first employee's salary is going to be expensive!
