This is an interesting deliberation which are overemphasized. Some people ignore the fact that more than half of food consumed daily are also wasted. Putting advanced technologies in place will help to prevent further food wastages which will increase the output for the consumers. Thereby reducing loss also for the manufacturers

For countries still struggling with supply chain there are enormous waste resulting from the farms that never gets to the shelves. There’s a need to equip farmers with technology to access customers and not just rely on their known customer base. This will go a long way to ensure availability of foods.

Food waste is a global issue, but few steps to mitigate it will go a long way to help reduce global hunger. One good thing food waste reduction technology is to focus more on harmless preservation of food. If foods, especially perishable ones can be preserved through technological innovations, increasing their shelf life without altering their tastes and qualities, or even improving these parameters within a long term period of preservation, then there will be more to eat while there will be little or nothing to waste.
