In my opinion employee volunteerism enhances CSR efforts by fostering a super positive company culture, amplifying impact through diverse skills, and improving the company's reputation. It strengthens relationships with local communities significantly which as a direct result attracts socially conscious customers, this in turn helps to build trust with stakeholders. By your employees engaging in volunteer activities, they contribute to the many societal needs neglected or underfunded by government. This showcases the your company's commitment to making a positive difference in the community it serves way above and beyond the perception of 'big business' only having profit-driven goals.

Equally important is ensuring leadership also participates and communicates the importance of giving back to the community. Any kind of employee recognition of participating is great during an employee meeting, newsletter and mention in a review shows that the employees values volunteerism. The most important outcomes in having a volunteer program is that the community will notice your brand but as an employer, it will start attracting the right talent that values volunteerism. New employees will want to work for employers that care about communities—Especially if they have lived experiences in the same communities.
