These are all excellent suggestions and do work to a point. After working in war zones and conflict zones for years ,I have seen that the greatest problem has been the desire for more by one side and the anger that results if they don’t cooperate to provide all parties with some concessions.

Companies can score high on responsible identity (e.g., vision, mission, values) and behaviour (e.g., actions towards people and the environment). Companies who walk the talk (i.e., have both high CSR identity AND behaviour) and align with those of their employees, would have less of a conflict.

Laying the + and - arguments out, by stakeholder - in logical categories - can be extremely helpful to identify overlapping views & differences. It further helps to rank order the issues based on how strongly the given stakeholder feels about them. One can then focus on resolving the most contentious issues / greatest blockers to achieving outcomes or success.

Partnerships can enhance a collaborative approach. While it is important to engage all stakeholders in order to prevent conflict it is essential to get three main "responsible" on board. The first is the benefactor which in this case is the corporate who social responsibility is to contribute and give back. The second is the beneficiary which needs to be identified and is crucial to the success of the program. This maybe one or many depending on the area, objective and output. When there is an emotional reason associated with the brand that is of a high caliber, advances genuine ads and furthermore helping the surroundings may make a positive picture of the organization. So when there may be a default in the result of the organization at that point, NGOs and other people might not complaint much considering the importance of the company towards the environment.
