It starts with a Design Team . Not a construction manager. Design team consists of Structural Engineer , Construction Architect and Landscape architect and then a Construction Team .

Functionality is more important then only esthetics in this regard. You can still create landscapes with different heights , shade or screenings or for ground covers . Creepers or turf with the correct plant selection suited for the growing environment taking consideration soil depth en water availability, sun or shade .
