From my experience, you can do these 4 steps: 1. Assume that you're talking to a third grader student and don't know any tech things. 2.Simplify your methods into unified parts, and prepare simple-synonym for each part. 3.Explain things with simple-to-understand examples. 4. Be patience

On the other hand, AI tools like ChatGPT can be impressive in finding good analogies to help you communicate complex concepts for anyone to understand.

The framework emphasizes the importance of shared vision, clear roles and responsibilities, effective communication, and continuous improvement. I using metaphors and analogies - this prevents me from appearing to “talk down”, and leaves listener in non-threatening position to ask questions for clarification. If we get too far into details, a non-technical audience will go to sleep on you. If the primary stakeholder is in the room probing for hard-answers, then sure, dig into the details…but owith caution. Using analogy and metaphor has often worked so well I’ve seen my own metaphors parroted by prospective customers over coffee; it empowers them to ask tough questions without knowing all the details. In cases of neural networks, use ‘black box’ in-n-outs because the proposition, like “Mad Max ThunderDome” (1200 things enter only 24 leave) can unnerve people who demand control.

When you get them on from the beginning you have more time to explain your thought process and approach. The key is to be patient here and not use too much technical jargon. A stepwise approach is what can help them get the most out of this collaboration and also help you understand the topics better while you explain it to them.
Give a clear understanding of what can be expected. There are several topics which AI doesn't answer, especially medicine based questions, real time facts, statistical data. It is mostly useful in solving problems, giving codes for python, powerbi etc. sometimes it is gives wrong approaches. Ideal way would be, think of the problem, break into chunks and extract the required from AI
When starting projects, brief key non-technical stakeholders, so they feel ownership over end products. Involve them in the planning phase, give them a big-picture perspective, and use feedback mechanisms to maintain information symmetry with non-technical stakeholders
Data science projects, the outputs should be shared and discussed with stakeholders often to see how closely the AI system is able to learn the 'real world' model and generate predictions which make sense and are accurate. Tell GPT to create an Analogy bot. That will give you analogies to explain AI concepts to non-tech folks at different levels, from kindergarten kids to your grandmother. While they may be averse to "lectures", they might like to see it if it helps their life on an everyday basis.
