O que precisa ser considerado para uma escuta efetiva? 1. Escutar a si - escutar suas emo??es e ter a ciência em qual “estado de espírito” você se encontra 2. Escutar o outro - com quais emo??es essa chega…? Quais cren?as e valores essa pessoa tem? 3. Escutar o ambiente - o que está acontecendo no entorno? Para um ambiente propício de escuta, o ideal é se preparar anteriormente e deixar a outra parte ciente também, antes de uma conversa importante acontecer.

Segundo Amy Edmondson, professora da Harvard e pensadora número 1 do mundo dos negócios hoje, a pergunta simples e poderosa: “E o que mais…?” Faz com que mais pessoas se envolvam na solu??o de problemas.

Algo simples e muito funcional após uma conversa é fazer a pergunta: O que você entendeu do que eu falei? Essa pergunta oportuniza um alinhamento e evita o retrabalho, t?o presente no ambiente corporativo. Chama-se “check list de compreens?o” e que na maioria das vezes n?o fazemos. E cada um resolve e faz atividades conforme a sua própria interpreta??o:(

Demonstrate that you are present and attentive to what is being said. - Learn to shut up. They key to good listening is the opposite to good speaking, learn to shut up. So don’t try and rush ahead of the conversation, let the speaker guide the conversation at their own pace. Remind yourself that everyone's input is valuable. - Have consistent 1:1s session. Understand that your team members need your ears more than your answers.

We can get distracted - with external distractions like demands on our time, and internal distractions like our biases and assumptions. - Remove external distractions like phones or someone else disrupting the conversation - Be aware of and reduce the internal distractions such as the sense of being busy by committing the conversation time to the person you are talking with, the biases and assumptions by staying curious to get to understand them, the sense of defensiveness by staying curious We also may employ selective hearing and filling in the gaps. I like to - Acknowledge and reflect back to them what I am really hearing (and inviting them to continue to help me get clear on what they are telling me)

People have a tendency to formulating an answer or jump to a fix without fully grasping the issue being presented. Resist the urge to immediately provide solutions. Instead, focus on understanding the employee's feelings and concerns before moving to problem-solving. Use phrases like "Tell me more about that" to encourage the employee to share their thoughts fully.

Transform your mindset from 'I have to listen' to 'I get to learn.' When leaders view conversations as opportunities to discover rather than tasks to endure, the barriers to active listening naturally start to dissolve.
